This oil-based glue (or size) is heated in a closed container according to an exclusive formulation and is subjected to a multitude of filtering and decanting operations. The hight quality product which results wil ensure long lasting gilding work.

 

3 types of Oil Gold Size are available : 
- 3 hours Oil Gold Size (75 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml, 1 L and 5 L cans)
- 12 hours Oil Gold Size without lead (125 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml, 1 L and 5 L cans)

For special jobs which need to be done very quickly a special Water-based Gold Size is available in 1 L can. The gold leaf may be applied within 1/2 hour.

Water-soluble gilding mixture: 118ml and 1l.
This mixture is a quick and simple gilding method. It is suitable for indoor work, on wood or plaster. The gold leaf may be applied 30 minutes after the mixture

Charbonnel gilder clays are in the form of a paste which in finally ground in the traditional manner between granite rollers. The manufacturing process ensures top quality and performance in use. Gilder clay needs to be mixed with twice its volume of a lukewarm solution of Skin Size. It may then be applied to the object which is to be gilded. Gilder clay is available in 3 colours : yellow, red, and black. Each colour is available in the following sizes : 1L, 25kg.
Skin size : an essential ingredient of the gilder clay mixture, Charbonnel Skin Size is in the shape of solid granules which are packed in 1kg bags.
